Xanderklinge

The Xanderklinge near Calw-Stammheim is one of the most beautiful gorges in the Northern Black Forest. On a well-developed hiking trail, you follow the picturesque stream through an impressive rock landscape. Especially after rainy days, the gorge is a true natural spectacle with roaring waterfalls.

Getting there: Approx. 20 minutes by car
Duration: About 1.5 hours round trip
Difficulty: Easy to moderate, sturdy footwear recommended


Lützenschlucht

The Lützenschlucht near Zavelstein is another highlight for nature lovers. The path leads through a narrow gorge lined with rocks with several small waterfalls. The mystical atmosphere and pristine nature make this hike a special experience.

Neubulach Visitor Mining Museum

The Neubulach visitor mining museum is an exciting destination for the whole family. During a guided tour through the original preserved tunnels, you will learn everything about the history of silver and cobalt mining in the region. The temperature in the mine is approximately 8°C year-round – so don't forget warm clothing!

Historic City Tour Wildberg

Our beautiful town of Wildberg invites you to a leisurely stroll through history. The well-preserved old town with its half-timbered houses, the impressive city church and the city walls tell of times past. A brochure for the tour is available at the tourist information office.

Rotfelden Amusement Park

Practical Tips for Your Excursions

For the gorge hikes, we recommend sturdy footwear with good grip, as the paths can be slippery in places. A jacket or sweater is advisable as it is cooler in the gorges. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and perhaps a small snack. A hiking pole can be helpful on steep sections.
Most of our excursion tips are best reached by car. The historic city tour through Wildberg is of course possible on foot from Haus Saron (approx. 15 minutes). For the other destinations, we recommend traveling by car. We are happy to help you with route planning!
In rainy or cool weather, the Neubulach visitor mining museum is an excellent choice – you are protected from the weather here. A visit to the Liebenzeller Mission with its museum and café is also possible in any weather. The historic city tour through Wildberg can also be done well with an umbrella.
Yes! In Wildberg you will find several cozy cafés and restaurants. Near the Xanderklinge there are dining options in Stammheim, as well as in Neubulach at the visitor mining museum. The Liebenzeller Mission has its own cafeteria. We are happy to give you specific restaurant recommendations for the respective region.
A reservation is required for the Neubulach visitor mining museum tours. You can visit all other excursion destinations spontaneously. For the Liebenzeller Mission, we recommend checking the museum's opening hours in advance. We are happy to help you with the organization and provide you with current contact details.
